Michael Wood

The Rev Michael Wood is an Anglican priest, leadership coach, and professional facilitator who uses Open Space Technology (OST) to foster collaborative ministry and community dialogue. He is currently based in Melbourne and serves as a Community Chaplain at St Stephen's Anglican Church in Richmond. Michael operates a private practice called Open Space Coaching and Facilitation, where he applies "hosting" rather than "heroic" leadership styles. He uses Open Space Technology to allow groups to set their own agendas and hold meaningful conversations on complex or polarised topics. He is a pioneer in the use of restorative processes and talking circles within the Australian church context to handle conflict and promote growth. Before his current role in Melbourne, Wood served for over 20 years in various roles, including as the Chaplain to the University of Western Australia.
