Peter Mugabi
The Rev. Peter Mugabi (also known as Bishop Peter Mugabi) is a prominent Christian leader in Uganda, best known for his role as the former Senior Pastor of New Life Baptist Church (NLBC) in Kampala. Peter serves as the General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Uganda, where he focuses on theological education and advocating for women in ministry. Through platforms like the Cephas Leadership Foundation, he provides leadership coaching, biblical counseling, and pastoral care for ministers across Uganda. On his 50th birthday, he launched a tree-planting project in partnership with Climate Stewards and APF to restore degraded forests on church lands. Peter has a diverse educational background, having studied Music at Makerere University and Guidance & Counselling at Kyambogo University. He is often celebrated by his congregation for his humility and his long-standing commitment to nurturing youth and Christian values within the community.
