Paul Turner

Fr Paul Turner is a prominent Roman Catholic priest, internationally recognised liturgist, and author based in the United States. He currently serves as the pastor of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Kansas City, Missouri, and as the director of the Office of Divine Worship for the Diocese of Kansas City–St. Joseph. Paul is a former president of the North American Academy of Liturgy and serves as a facilitator for the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL). He is a prolific writer, whose recent works include Sacred Times (2024), Eucharistic Reservation (2024), and Be Renewed: A Guide to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. He also provides daily liturgical guidance on his Catholic Liturgy Blog. In 2025, he was named Author of the Year by the Catholic Media Association and has received the Frederick R. McManus Award from the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC). Paul holds a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from Sant’ Anselmo in Rome. Throughout his ministry, he has served diverse communities, including working as a prison chaplain, assisting the homeless, and ministering to multi-ethnic parishes.
