Meewon Yang

The Rev Meewon Yang OAM is a prominent Korean-Australian Baptist pastor. For over 26 years, she served as the Baptist Union of Victoria's Multicultural Church Health Consultant, a role she farewelled in November 2024. Having immigrated to Australia from Korea in 1989, Meewon has used her lived experience as a first-generation migrant to bridge cultural gaps and support diverse faith communities across Victoria. Meewon is an alumna and adjunct lecturer at Whitley College, where she has supervised doctoral graduates and contributed to programs like the University of Divinity’s Graduate Supervision Program. She remains a member of the Australian Association of Supervision (AAOS) and provides culturally sensitive professional supervision for pastors and community leaders. Meewon is a member of the Brunswick Baptist Church.
