Fr Brian Buckley

Fr Brian Buckley OSA is a prominent priest of the Order of St Augustine (Augustinians) based in Melbourne. He currently serves as the Prior of the Augustinian Community at the Parish of South Yarra, which includes St Joseph’s and St Thomas Aquinas churches. In that role, he was one of our ecumenical neighbours when we were still based in South Yarra. In addition to being the Prior at South Yarra, Brian is the Vicar Provincial for the Augustinians in Australia. Before his current posting, Fr Buckley served as a missionary in South Korea for 30 years, where he developed a deep connection with the local community. He has held leadership roles in several other Australian parishes, including North Harbour (NSW) and Kyabram (VIC).
