Christine Redwood

The Revd Dr Christine Redwood is the Lead Pastor at Seaforth Baptist Church in Sydney’s northern beaches, a role she has held since December 2017. She also serves on the Board of the Open Baptists. Before joining Seaforth, she served as the Associate Pastor at Hornsby Baptist Church for six years. Christine is a prominent voice in the Australian Baptist community, focusing on preaching, feminist hermeneutics, and the Old Testament. She holds a PhD from the Australian College of Theology (completed in 2021), and has served as an adjunct lecturer at Morling Theological College, where she was previously a preaching intern. Christine authored the book "Hear Her Voice: Preaching the Women of the Bible" (published in 2024), which explores how gender impacts preaching and aims to amplify marginal voices through the study of feminist scholars and stories from the book of Judges.
