Sunday Worship
This Sunday we get to meet Philippa Thomson who has agreed to have her name put to our congregation to serve as a Visiting Pastoral Overseer (VPO). We have been looking to appoint 2 or 3 new VPOs for a while and so are delighted that Philippa has made herself available. So in place of a sermon tonight, we will have an opportunity to learn a little of the story of her life, faith and ministry, and some will get to chat with her in the breakout rooms after worship.
Our worship service draws on rich traditions of Christian liturgy — shared texts, prayerful silence, listening to scripture, sacramental practice — expressed in a fresh Australian voice, and remaining open and accessible. We gather online in a highly participatory, live event, in which nearly every voice contributes. All welcome, regardless of age, race, religion, capability, sexual identity, or immigration status.
After the service, we spend time socialising in smaller groups, so plan to stay and get to know us.
